Glenda Rideout lit a candle on 04/22/2012:
"My thoughts and prayers are with you Jeff and family. Looking at her pictures brings back so many memories. I remember her as a little girl working at the shop , she was always our last customer of the day. Such a pleasure to have around. She treated you the same every time she saw you, with a smile and a hug. I miss her already. Rest in peace Mary Bridget. "
Born: June 14th, 1936
Passed on: April 19th, 2012
Mary Bridget McCarthy passed away on April 19th 2012 in the palliative care unit at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, after a long battle with lung cancer. Mary moved to Saskatoon in November of 2011 to be with her son Jeff Fisher, after she was diagnosed. She left behind her sister Teresa Hackett as well as other family members and close friends in Newfoundland, and missed them every day that she was here. Over the last 5 months, she was able to develop a very close relationship with her 3 year old granddaughter Simarra Fisher, as well as several visits with her 24 year old granddaughter, Nastastia Fisher.
Mary is described by everyone who knew her as a kind and caring person that nobody will ever forget. She was a genuinely good person. She was loved by everyone, and is now greatly missed. Rest in peace Bridget, Aunt Bid, Grandma, and Mom.
